I have a player who wants to use the Forge Cleric Channel Divinity option to create plate armor in 15 separate pieces. Is this a stretch or misuse of the ability? It feels like a violation of the spirit of the ability to me.

Originally Spectral Defense gave half damage. Now offers resistance, which prevents stacking with items offering resistance. Thus making this much weaker than Uncanny Dodge which is at a much lower level. Intended or oversight?We didn't change it on accident. Uncanny Dodge is the same level for a Hunter ranger. UD requires seeing the attacker. SD does not.

Thank you for the letter. As noted in the introduction of "Downtime Revisited," those rules are designed as an alternative to the downtimes rules in the PH and DMG. They're not meant to be used together.

@JeremyECrawford Hey, for the new Storm Herald barbarian, there isn't a size limit on the effects the storm's do. Does this mean any size creature is effected by things like being knocked prone when I activate my storm next to them?

@JeremyECrawford how does life transference interact with a life cleric's 1st and 6th level features? I understand the roll is for damage, so the capstone is irrelevant, but the spell still restores HP, and RAW wouldn't 1st/6th level features trigger?

What about the 6th level Blessed Healer feature, which causes the life cleric to regain HP when restoring other creatures' HP? Does the feature effectively restore some of the hit points lost when casting Life Transference?
