Looking at the Dragonborn subraces in EGTW the AS replacements are cool but the abilities that replace the Damage Resistance trait seem very underwhelming. Feels like it should be the breath weapon that is replaced by these?(both being once a rest) Certain resistances CAN be situationally useful, but often are so situational in practice they become an after thought (pretty much any aside from fire and maybe poison). The breath weapon is nearly always useful, regardless of situation, so that was the logic.

Critical Role
Exandria is the name of the world on which most events of Critical Role take place. Tal’dorei and Wildemount

Is dunamancy restricted to just wizards or can say sorcerers, bards, clerics, etc use those spells as well
random question matt since I am still waiting for the book to be delivered. Is dunamancy(idk how to spell) restricted to just wizards or can say sorcerers, bards, clerics, etc use those spells as well They are restricted to the Graviturgist and Chronurgist out of the gate, but a DM can allow other classes to use them as they see fit (as rewards, or just in general).

Are bards able to take spells from their lists with magical secrets? If the DM allows it.

Would a half-elf drow from the Kryn have different stats from a regular half-elf drow?
would a half-elf drow from the Kryn have different stats from a regular half-elf drow? I mean, would they be able to use some Dunamancy spells instead of Dancing Lights and Darkness? That would be up to your DM! 🙂

Can Dunamis produce sorcerers like other types of magic can?
@matthewmercer my 12 year old son, who loves CritRole and D&D, wants me to ask: “Can Dunamis produce sorcerers like other types of magic can? And if a sorcerer was created by Dunamis, which sorcerer subclass would it be?” @katewelchhhh @JeremyECrawford @ChrisPerkinsDnD

I love this idea!
Wild Magic and Shadow seem like easy fits, though some reskinning would go a long way (WM messes with probability, Shadow could be pulling on other lost potential timelines rather than Shadowfell).
A could also see a Divine Soul drawing power from the Luxon. Some heavy flavoring and damage type tweaks could make Storm Sorcery fit as a graviturgy-focused sorcerer, change lightning/thunder to force, the flight powers are gravity manipulation.
Possibly change the rain/wind control to minor gravity manipulation (reduced falling damage)

With the Echo Knights echos, do they get the benefits of Sentinel and Polearm master?
With the Echo Knights echos, do they get the benefits of Sentinel and Polearm master?Sentinel WOULD function, as you are still the source of the opp attack. Polearm Master would not, as that feature of the Echo specifies moving AWAY from you.

The Cerberus Assembly in Explorer’s Guide to Wildemount: what exactly is illegal about necromancy?
I'm rereading the section on the Cerberus Assembly in Explorer's Guide to Wildemount, and holy shit I forgot that Lady Vess de Rogna replaced Lady Briarwood. There's so much good lore in here. #CriticalRole #CriticalRoleSpoilers

She WAS a minor noble, but upon making her deal with the Whispered One, her knowledge and spellcraft advanced enough to carve a place of power within the Assembly… until her illegal, necromantic delving were discovered.
— Matthew Mercer (@matthewmercer) September 18, 2020
Not the School of Necromancy, but certain, specific rites of Necromantic Magic’s that are deemed against order/law. The use of forbidden magic to create a vampire lord (Sylas) was deemed by the Assembly and King a high crime.
— Matthew Mercer (@matthewmercer) September 18, 2020
Yay, fellow DM, you responded! 😁
I certainly am not surprised it was actually Delilah who cast the spell to return Sylas as a vampire lord, Vecna merely imparting knowledge.
The gray area is the part I’m uncertain of. Especially in a tyranny, law often applies unjustly. If all law were “unjust”, society would be harder to control. It’s not about those in power creating only villainous laws… many function and serve common sense/protect those in power/avoid fearful competitive powers, etc. Then, sneak in a number of unjust ones along the mix.

Can the echo knight’s echoes BOTH make attacks when the fighter takes the attack action?
tarted my own Wildemount Campaign in Odessloe, amazing stuff so far! Quick question, can the echo knight’s echoes (level 18) BOTH make attacks when the fighter takes the attack action? Additionally, I want to confirm, does action surge prompt an extra attack(echo)No additional attacks (outside of you using Unleash Incarnation), but your attacks can originate from either echo.

Which Exandria deity would be most likely to heal and tend to lower class women?
Help! Which #Exandria deity would be most likely to heal and tend to lower class women or prostitutes?
I ask because some religions are more uptight or their followers can be judgie as fuck of victims of sexual violence A great number of them, as most deities of Exandria are not bound my mortal social judgments (and even so, sex work is legitimate work). Off the top of my head, the Archeart, the Changerbringer, the Moon Weaver, and the Law Bearer are easily tailored for this.— Matthew Mercer (@matthewmercer) September 18, 2020
