@pWallyC @gregbilslandFor lvl5 PCs continuing on from LMoP and into the Hoard of the Dragon Queen, how hard is it to scale the monsters. you could also simply start with chapter 4 of the adventure and play from there.

Is the Staff of Fire usable by Bards or Druids?
@DastionIs the Staff of Fire usable by Bards or Druids? The HOTDQ and Rise of Tiamat supplements disagree. The staff of fire is usable by druids, not bards. The HOTDQ supplement will get updated to reflect that fact.

I’m running Hoard of the Dragon Queen any advice on how to manage 20 NPC’s and dozens of side quests?
Hey Matt! I’m running Hoard for my players for the first time, and they’re almost to the caravan section. Any advice on how to manage 20 possible Npc’s and dozens of side quest opportunities?? Feels overwhelming. 😨If it feels overwhelming, then remove a few! Don’t feel obligated to follow any published modules to a T. You can customize, deleted, and alter it to your heart’s content!

Milestones
@ChrisPerkinsDnD Are the milestones on page 261 DMG the same as quest rewards or are quest rewards a type of milestone?
— Peter Cherico (@PC_MRCC) December 25, 2015
Yes x 2. https://t.co/rOm2Cd52oF

@ChrisPerkinsDnD I just got ToD and I want to know how the leveling up works. Does XP even matter when using milestones?
— Peter Cherico (@PC_MRCC) December 25, 2015
If you're using milestones, PCs level up when they accomplish story goals. No need to track XP in that case. https://t.co/mT1HKcXd5b

@ChrisPerkinsDnD Do you have any personal takes on using milestones vs EXP for campaigns (short or long)?
— Michael J C (@MercKilsek) December 26, 2015
I gravitate toward the former. As a player, I don't mind tracking XP. As a DM, I find it tedious. https://t.co/pHe7f0d7Wu

Nervous DM?
@tonymccallie biggest thing to remember – the DM can't be wrong. You're final authority on rules, world, story. Just roll with it.
— Mike Mearls (@mikemearls) July 10, 2015
@tonymccallie Also – focus on what's fun, not what's right. If the players are excited and engaged, you're doing it right.
— Mike Mearls (@mikemearls) July 10, 2015
@tonymccallie Finally, being a DM is like any skill. You'll suck at first, but keep at it and you will get better.

Tiamat’s magic immunity
@eerongaltiamat’s magic immunity: how does this interact with a paladins divine smite? Not immune or based on slot sacrificed? I'd base it on slot sacrificed
