@gaaran00bCan you duel-weild Shields and get the AC bonus from both? no

Owlbear life cycle
@ChrisPerkinsDnD Are owlbears nocturnal? And do they hibernate?
— Ed (@marley_von) July 15, 2015
Whatever works for your world. Personally, I dig that they hunt at night like owls and hibernate like bears. https://t.co/0eKZNwduIk

@ChrisPerkinsDnD Do they barf out huge bone balls like an owl? That would be really cool as a special attack
— Shane Plays (@ShanePlays) July 16, 2015
Let us agree never to use the phrase "bone balls" again. :snicker:

Gnoll and Sahuagin languages… and don’t forget Blink Dog
@JeremyECrawford MM says gnolls speak "gnoll". But PH doesn't mention "gnoll" in languages page 123. What is correct ? What is wrong ?
— AideDD (@aideddorg) August 4, 2015
The PH language tables don't list every language in the multiverse. The MM has others, including Sahuagin and Gnoll. https://t.co/3QFeOundJD

@JeremyECrawford @aideddorg dont forget Blink Dog!

A few lines of Blink Dog poetry can melt even the coldest heart. https://t.co/3W3CnOJvNw

Bar fight!
@JeremyECrawford @mikemearls @ChrisPerkinsDnD How would you handle a bar fight in #5e, when unarmed only deals 1 damage?
— Michael V. Drejer (@maialideth) August 4, 2015
A typical bar fight would also include broken glass and furniture—improvised weapons galore. https://t.co/biKcfTjYs3
— Jeremy Crawford (@JeremyECrawford) August 4, 2015
Don't forget to add your Strength bonus, if any. https://t.co/pRjc0O27l0

Fiend Celestial Fey magic attacks
@nerdimmersion @JeremyECrawfordAny benefits to choosing fiend/celes/fey for a steed other than type change? Are their attacks magic? i wouldn't make the attacks magic

Spear and Trident
@JeremyECrawford Spear & trident are the exact same thing aside from gp cost. Is that an error for them to be the same besides cost?
— Lunchboxx1090 (@lunchboxx1990) July 28, 2015
Their similarity is not an error. https://t.co/AsffuG9ANJ
— Jeremy Crawford (@JeremyECrawford) July 28, 2015
@jackAbrasion @JeremyECrawford same damage, lighter than the trident, cheaper too. I MUST be missing something here.
— Lunchboxx1090 (@lunchboxx1990) July 28, 2015
@vikke064So pay more for a heavier piece because it looks good? That is a choice that some characters will happily make.
— Jeremy Crawford (@JeremyECrawford) July 28, 2015
@vikke064Then why is there no Katana? I don’t see a relevant difference
Or is it that important that it is hard to look cool w trid? Regarding the katana, check out the Wuxia Weapon Names table in the DMG (p. 41).
— Jeremy Crawford (@JeremyECrawford) July 28, 2015
@vikke064My point is that the trident as it is written should have been given the “other name” treatment or a larger damage die. A trident is physically distinct from a spear, not a different name for one.
— Jeremy Crawford (@JeremyECrawford) July 28, 2015
@vikke064 The weapon list is, indeed, meant to be understood within the game's larger context: proficiencies, aesthetics, magic items, etc.
— Jeremy Crawford (@JeremyECrawford) July 28, 2015
@rjfTrebor We've found that there is rarely unanimity among #DnD players. A thing that one group loathes might be loved by another group.
— Jeremy Crawford (@JeremyECrawford) July 28, 2015
Weapon choice passes through proficiencies, features, and aesthetic/cultural preferences. Overlap is intentional. https://t.co/EfHZDANKIh

How to calculate area of affect without using minis
.ChrisPerkinsDnD @ChrisPerkinsDnD @ChrisSSims @mikemearls one of the DnD guys shared an = on how to calc area of affect w/o using minis.
— Dustin Stuckel (@insanitygawd) July 28, 2015
@insanitygawd @ChrisPerkinsDnD @ChrisSSims I thought I saw that – personally, I'd roll a d6, -1 or -2 for smaller AoEs, +1 or +2 for larger
— Mike Mearls (@mikemearls) July 28, 2015
Only one spell
@jnodonnell The rule on bonus action spells (PH, 202) isn't meant to be applied to spells that take 1 action to cast.
