@MWDuo Question for you @mikemearls. Is choosing a subrace required or optional?. Not 100% clear it's required – you're a step behind without one

Just imagination
@newbiedm I’m also surprised at no mention of optional tactical maps at all, and the idea of tokens coins or minis to represent characters really wanted to focus on imagination and roleplay – it's what makes the rpg distinct

2weapon fighting, do you get at most 1 bonus hit a turn even if you have Extra Attacks from the fighter?
Regarding Potent Cantrip – we'll add cantrips that can benefit from it to Basic D&D

@SymphFanFor 2weapon fighting, do you get at most 1 bonus hit a turn even if you have Extra Attacks from the fighter? (Uses Bonus action) that's correct. Since it uses your onus action, you can only use it once

If a stonskined wizard is taking damage should he make a concentration check?
@blackwarder @wotc_rodneyif a stonskined wizard is taking damage should he make a concentration check? yes, unless spell says otherwise
— Mike Mearls (@mikemearls) July 5, 2014
@blackwarder @wotc_rodneyso is it intended to be cast on the fighter and not on the wizard? that's probably your best use for it

So how will concentration spells work as potions ?
@bandofjenkins @minipete @MerricBso how will concentration spells work as potions ? #dnd5e same way – effect ends if you lose concentration
— Mike Mearls (@mikemearls) July 7, 2014
@MerricBConcentration mechanic is really interesting – lots of effects I wasn’t initially aware of. Want to see it in play! #dnd5e I have to admit it's my favorite new rule. Cleans up stacking, makes lockdown effects and buffs much trickier to manage

When you crit, do you also roll all extra damage like Sneak Attack/Divine Strike again as well?
@PlaguescarredWhen you crit, do you also roll all extra damage like Sneak Attack/Divine Strike again as well? Can seems like a lot yes – reroll all

Can a rogue sneak attack with a net even if it deals no damage?
@PlaguescarredCan a rogue sneak attack with a net even if it deals no damage? No, sneak attack is additional damage.
— Mike Mearls (@mikemearls) July 8, 2014
@Hadan_AshcroftWhy? This rule only limits players into just attacking. I can use a net for 0 damage or my bow for d8+5d6.. er I attack a sneak attack is *extra* damage, needs initial damage to sit on top of. DM can rule otherwise, but that's intent
