Players encountered the ghost of a murdered schoolgirl and the only one who could see/talk to her was the cleric. Half the party thought he was high. Followed by the death goddess showing up to pick up ghost-girl and only 3 ppl could see her. The alchemist fainted. How cool! And spooky! 😄 great first session, kudos to the DM!

I like sticking in something like a hag that has information they want or need. Roleplay and making bargains Hags are tons of fun! A list of crazy hag bargains would be super cool!

That would be super fun. So far in two different sessions players have willingly traded hags items that animate undead Lol! Hags love players! 😄

Tomorrow could be the end of my first #DnD campaign and all of our players are actually in person! Conflicted feelings and not sure I’m prepared! Any tips for those out there who have actually finished campaigns? Ask the players everything they want to see brought to a close and make sure to cover it. Did that for my long-running Eberron campaign.

@JeremyECrawford Mummy Lord: Lair Action says it can activate "pinpoint" accuracy for the undead to locate creatures. Disadvantage is applied when you cannot "see" your target. The Lair Action says nothing about removing Disadvantage. Pinpoint isn't a game term. Disadvantaged?

The mummy lord has a lair action that can pinpoint creatures in its lair. The action does exactly that: pinpoints the creatures, which makes it difficult to sneak around in a mummy lord's lair. I am a power gamer. I also care quite a bit about story.

Us story driven min maxers do exist. This! There is nothing wrong with wanting to play the game for the maximum effectiveness and efficiency! However, such a play style also needs to be aware to not let that pursuit ruins others’ good time, nor impose control on how they wish to build/play their character. 🙂

Exactly! It is a delicate balance, and one that is more often than not done poorly if no one speaks up. I’ve played with MANY power gamers who are good friend in all my years gaming, and had a great time. Just being up front when they begin to infringe can help awareness.
