if you would bring Gladiator from dark sun to 5th; would you make them as a class of its own or as a fighter archetype with some backgrounds and feats to recreate the compkete handbook kits? I’d think about starting it as a background, and adding a fighter option if needed; might also exist as a weapon style choice for fighter, paladin, etc.
