any reason why these Survivors can’t also work as Sidekicks? Mechanically similar, right? A squire! I haven't tried using them with the sidekicks system from TCE (they lack a challenge rating so technically aren't eligible).
I'm sure they work great as companion characters, though!

How about a little on theme #tbt for the perfect vampire ‘familiar/renfield/tomwaits’. Easily one of my favorite #dnd monsters I’ve done over the years. The Boggle from Volos Guide To Monsters. 1/2 I usually boost their int to about 10-14, then give them an obsession. Collecting toenails, or rings (preferably with the finger attached). They serve the vampire not because they are compelled to, but they appreciate the vampire's kindness.
