saw a reddit post about Cannith that raised a good question. With Droaam being outside of the Treaty of Thronehold, let alone place like Xendrik or Sarlona, could Cannith continue to make warforged in these locations? Or does the treaty specifically forbid 1/2 Cannith from making more warforged anywhere? It would he an interesting loophole for them to exploit, especially for a lesser known member hoping to take back the control of the House. 2/2

Under the same clauses that allow members of Dragonmarked houses to have the same rights as citizens of Thronehold nations, I’d say that it forbids the creation of warforged by any signatories, which includes Cannith, regardless of location. But… If you build your secret forgehold in Droaam or Sarlona, it has to be FOUND, and then we have to see who will actually act to enforce the Treaty and how. It's only two years old, and I don't think it's BEEN tested yet; it's not at all clear what will happen when it is.

Emerald Claw, are they more tied to Dollurh or Mabar? Which would they revere more when it’s coterminous for the time to do some dark, apocalyptic ritual for the PCs to stop. How to Compare/Contrast each option to use as DM.? Mabar is thus the more likely option. However, I could see a weird "Dolurrh Jailbreak" scenario where they perform a ritual to release a lot of "undigested" ghosts from Dolurrh, seeing it as saving these spirits from dissolution.

The purpose of the Blood of Vol (and thus the EC) is to AVOID Dolurrh, which they see as eradicating the soul. They harness the power of Mabar for their necromantic rituals. If you read Exploring Eberron, Lady Illmarrow has potential ties to Mabar's Queen of All Tears.

in eberron is there any precedence for time traveling adventures? Or maybe in DnD general from an older edition? One of my early RPGA adventures — The Delirium Stone — took adventurers back to the War of the Mark. Exploring Eberron notes that Xoriat is a potential path for time travel. Other than that, I don’t know.

I wouldn’t involve the Lords of Dust or the Overlords. We’ve established that they use the Prophecy to shape the future rather than to alter the past with time travel; I’d argue that even if they could with epic magic, they’d fear that they’d be destroying their own timelines.Likewise, I wouldn't personally involve Mabar. ExE clearly explains how Xoriat interacts with time travel. Kythri and Thelanis relate to time in unusual ways but I'd stick to Xoriat as the primary path for actually being able to break timelines.

If you're dealing with glimpsing possible futures or drawing echos from the future, there's any number of options. And epic magic—dragons, even Sul Khatesh—are certainly valid.

hello Keith! I reread thru the blood of vol section of the exploring eberron. I was pleasantly surprised to see the thieves of life from faiths of eberron.
Question is, how do you see the Keepers of Blood from FoE, as there isn’t a mention of them in ExE? They're not something I've every used, and ExE is generally about how I run Eberron at MY table; there's a number of elements in FoE that I ignore or contradict in ExE. I don't object to the Keepers of Blood, I just have no plans to use them myself.

if a dragonmarked heir turned into a tiefling during the mourning, or gave birth to a teifling heir, what would the house do? Keep the heir for experimentation? Excoriate the family? Assassinate them? Accept them?It’s an unprecedented event, so it’s really a case of “What do you want them to do?” I could imagine Jorasco or Vadalis being fascinated and wanting to study the heir, but there’s no reason that couldn’t mainly involve reports and examinations between adventures.

Tieflings are known to be an unusual mutation that’s generally caused by outside forces, so I wouldn’t see giving birth to a tiefling as being grounds for excoriating parents; it’s generally seen as more tied to location/planar influences than to bloodline. On the other hand, if it’s the story you want to experience, I could certainly imagine many enclaves treating a tiefling heir as essentially aberrant and expelling them.

when exactly was the Trust formed? The triumvirate was sometime after Malleon the Reaver and Karen the Conqueror, and the ECG says the Trust has only operated out of Zilargo for two centuries. There’s no entry on the timeline either. The ECG is mistaken. I would hold to the Dragon article stating that the Trust assumed its role approximately two years after Zilargo was founded and has always been a defining element of the united Zilargo.
