Twitter-brain time: if you had to suggest just one adventure/source for new DMs to run a #dnd5e game with, what would it be and why? Obviously the three core rulebooks are important, so something other than those. Essentials Kit, hands down.

Not LMOP? I heard Essentials required a lot more work. Starter Set is also great, but Essentials Kit benefits from some evolution in its presentation. Lost Mine is a great first time adventure also.

Essentials breaks down into easier bite-sized quests with a hub structure settled on Phandalin.

I just thought the encounters were a bit high and dangerous for newbs Learn to face an ochre jelly at level 1, or perish like so many before you! 😉
In my experience it's fine. My party consisting of several first time D&D players and 3 kiddos (one of the kids was also a first timer) dealt with the manticore (fed it) and the ochre jellies (arrows)
