If you wanted to bring Bhaal back there was probably a way to do it without taking a giant dump on one of the most popular DnD game series that people love no? Sure, if I wanted to bring Bhaal back, there are scores of ways to do so, but Wizards controls the storylines of the published Realms. Neither Bhaal's murder nor his return were my doing; if anything in the official Realms doesn't suit the campaign you're running, just change it.
