I love it when #dnd items have some sort of consequence for their use.
There’s something so badass about trying to wield an item too powerful for a mortal to handle. Maybe it knocks you back 20 feet—or turns you to dust after you use it!I love the quirks table in the DMG for inspiration to add things like this to any magic item, not just the world-changers.
A crystal ball that only functions if you shed blood on it?
