@ChrisPerkinsDnD I have a player who wants to be a Rock Gnome Bard and place healing/damage spells in a Tinkered music box. Thoughts?

Sounds fun. Try it, and see if you like it! If it becomes irksome, you can always have the music box fall into a pit of acid. #wotcstaff https://t.co/YvZDeTvExa

@ChrisPerkinsDnD @wilw MUST YOU THROW ALL I LOVE INTO ACID PITS, PERKINS?

It's not a moral imperative. I do it to create drama. #WOTCstaff https://t.co/X946zC21vw

Sounds like good flavour to me. To prevent it becoming O.P. I recommend the following:
1. Only the rock gnome bard can activate the speĺs in the box or add new spells to the box.
2. Spells in the box be limited to only those the bard would normally get for their level.
3. Should the player cross-class, only bard spells can be put in the box. Spells from other classes function normaly for that class and cannot be put in the box.
4. The player can not cast any spells or cantrips as a bard without the music box.
5. The misic box must be able to produce music to activate/use spells.
6. Silence and antimagic field work on the box as they would on any spell caster. The obvious exception being if the bard takes appropriate feats to negate vocal components.
