Does anyone really enjoy ‘Town’ sessions in roleplaying games? Like people coming to town from a dungeon, going shopping, trying to find an inn, negotiating prices, trying to find a tavern, eating, etc? Especially when it CLEARLY has nothing to do with the plot? Yes. Both as a player and DM. I like characterizing the different areas of the world and those seemingly simple interactions (which depending on the game are mechanically meaningful) are a perfect place to do that. What makes this town different from any other?

I love town/city adventures. I also feel confident that I could tie a shopping experience, if need be, into the main plot or perhaps a side quest that would prove just as interesting to them as it is to me. Also. Sometimes its great just to roleplay and meet some #DnD folks!
