Does anyone know of a way to actually “cure” a vampire? Has that ever happened in D&D or in other games/novels? Are you looking for officially published stuff, or cool things that we've seen happen in campaigns?
Because:
1. You can kill the vampire and then True Resurrection them.
2. Yes, I've seen cool setting-supportive ways of curing vampires in individual games.

Then other games have their takes, there are all sorts of juicy myths and rumors in Vampire: the Masquerade/Requiem, even some weird pseudo-temporary "cures."
