Blood Hunter: If their Rite fades when the weapon leaves their hands, does that mean they have to continually apply the Rite to thrown weapons?

I have a question for you regarding the Blood Hunter: If their Rite fades when the weapon leaves their hands, does that mean they have to continually apply the Rite to thrown weapons? If the thrown weapon returns to their hand before the turn ends, does it stay? If the weapon is recovered by the end of the turn, the rite would remain. Otherwise, it would require reapplication.
