You’re DMing a #dnd campaign with lower level PCs traveling via normal terrain on a longish trip between towns. Nothing important to the campaign’s story is planned along the way. Which is the closest to the way you handle the trip in terms of encounters? Basically, I'm looking to see if you go (1) full travel mode with lots of checks and setting up watches at night (2) no random/travel encounters at all or (3) something in between those extremes.
