Where would a Eastern European accent come from in the Forgotten Realms?

Where would a Russian/Eastern European accent come from in the forgotten realms?Through a gate, from Earth. :}
Seriously, real-world analogues rarely apply in the Realms. Rashemen would be the closest place, followed by Sossal, and then the lands to the north of Impiltur.
