#dnd tip: There's an oft-overlooked variant rule in the PHB that allows you to pair a skill with a different ability score.
Rather than having the charismatic bard play the ruffian, you can instead spotlight the barbarian during roleplay with a Strength (Intimidation) check! 💪

Trying to use it as a designer is fraught with peril as you get many people telling you it’s a mistake. 😬 I don't have the guts to put my Charisma (Investigation) checks for info gathering into anything published. 😂
