Follow up question to the one before about spellscarred, @TheEdVerse: Are there still active pockets of spellplague in the Realms, either on the surface or in the Underdark? Oh, yes. Rare, and fading in intensity, but they exist. Some reckless (insane?) spellcasters have even tried to harness them, thus far (thankfully) unsuccessfully.
