Since the players are starting at 2nd level for our new D&D campaign, I’m considering adding a “past quest” mechanic where they can claim familiarity with an NPC, location, faction, etc. that interests them, as if they experienced it on a previous adventure.
Sound cool? It basically would allow them a limited pool of points to "yes and" any moment and invest their characters in things they themselves enjoy.
