Should we wait till there is an official release then, if we don’t want to pay twice? Or will the official Ebberon book have different content? Updates to PDFs are free once you buy them via the DMs Guild, so if you buy today you'll get the updated ones for free.

I'm sorry, I'll try to be more clear. I'm a bit confused about this. Is this like a pre-book or is this something else entirely? Is it even official or will it be eventually? If I buy this, will i end up buying an official Ebberon book in a year from now with different content?

This is 100% official content for Eberron. Since it is an ebook, that also means we can update content with comments based on UA playtests of the races and the artificer.
