I rarely ask *everyone* in the party to make perception, insight, or lore type checks, because someone almost always rolls high. Why bother rolling?

I often limit those checks to someone in the front or talking or trained.

At first when GMing, I did this a lot. I mostly only do this for group checks now (i.e. half the party needs to succeed on a Stealth check to avoid being seen), but old habits die hard for sure and sometimes I ask without thinking. #DnD #RPG #TRPG #TTRPG https://t.co/b6V3H48R55
