in your opinion do Changelings revert your origin form when they “die” or go unconscious/0 hp? by RAW changelings revert when they DIE but not when they are unconscious (it would be hard to maintain a long term masquerade if you revert when you sleep!).

I bet suggested that a piece of a Changeling — such as cut hair — WILL revert, but that this is slow and may take up to 24 hours. So cutting hair isn’t a foolproof technique.

Awesome. Thank you so much. I’d been staring at the rules and second-guessing myself. I’m playing a “Dwarf Paladin” and challenging myself to see how long I can keep the secret. Pretending I have darkvision is fun. The hair bit is good to know in case I get the dream magic item: Belt of Dwarven Kind!

I’m playing a warforged cleric in a campaign and we acquired a belt of dwarvenkind and I really wanted to be the warforged-with-a-beard… but by RAW I think you have to be able to grow hair for it to work.
