Hey Dan are surveys the reason the point buy system was scrapped in favor of rolling extra dice?

I’m not sure what you mean by point buy system, can you elaborate on that? A lot of what you guys are doing know I think is from breaking the mystic into smaller parts and making it for every class. When it was still the mystic you got points as you leveled to spend with a limit spend per day on talents I really enjoyed that.

Well, I will say that when I was working on the initial drafts for Soul Knife, Psychic Warrior, and Psionics wizard, I wasn’t pulling from the Mystic’s features directly. I worked from the ground up, and there’s some thematic overlap (such as in the Soul Knife). By and large the feedback on the mystic told us it was just too complicated, too powerful, and overlapped too many other classes. The points were definitely part of that overcomplication.

We are taking the concept of psionics and seeing how it could be applied in the form of subclasses, that's for sure!
