A Blink Dog can teleport “along with any equipment it is wearing or carrying”…if a saddle is strapped to the dog and a goblin is strapped in that saddle, can the goblin teleport with the dog?

A Blink Dog can teleport “along with any equipment it is wearing or carrying”… if a saddle is strapped to the dog and a goblin is strapped in that saddle, can the goblin teleport with the dog? Nope. Creatures aren't equipment. #WotCStaff

Why would that make a difference? 50 lbs of equipment or 50 lbs of goblin rider, what would it matter to the blink dog? Their teleporting magic doesn’t work on other creatures. Just like how misty step doesn’t work on anyone but the caster but they can take their clothes and weapons and other objects they’re carrying.
