@Knoll68028721what do you think about this optional rule? Shield is used as a reaction to +5 ac against an attack, instead of constantly +2. very good against small numbers of attackers, not so good against mobs, which might be what you're aiming for

@Knoll68028721 however, it does come at the cost of opportunity attacks. I'd consider going +1 AC and adding this rule
