“Two castles, alike in towering majesty,” the herald proclaimed, “that of the sinister-swordarm knights on the left, fittingly, whilst that on the right is home to the dexter-swordarm knights.”#epic fantasy— Ed Greenwood (@TheEdVerse) June 8, 2018

“You sure?” one of the crowd asked hesitantly. “The banners seem to suggest otherwise.”

“Fool of a herald!” an old man snarled. “You could start a war that way.”

The crowd winced aloud.#epic fantasy— Ed Greenwood (@TheEdVerse) June 8, 2018

“How many dead?”
“Wives, eight. Thus far.”#epic fantasy— Ed Greenwood (@TheEdVerse) June 8, 2018

“No knights, though there probably will be casualties when their wives find out they’ve been wagering on the frays. Without sharing any of the takings.”
“They’re IDIOTS,” someone in the crowd muttered.
The herald smiled. “As I said. Knights, remember?”#epic fantasy— Ed Greenwood (@TheEdVerse) June 8, 2018
