Hey Jeremy, quick question on the Artificer. If I cast Arcane Weapon and set it to deal Acid or Poison damage, does it benefit from the Alchemical Mastery feature for Alchemists and deal extra damage? It does!

The Arcane Armament feature doesn't suppress/remove the loading property on a weapon.

Does the Artificer’s level 6 “Alechmical Mastery” apply to the Arcane Weapon spell? Alchemical Mastery applies to one roll of a spell, so it can apply to one roll of the arcane weapon spell that deals acid or poison damage.

@JeremyECrawford In the Artificer, it says proficient with heavy crossbows, but the starting equipment says you start with a light crossbow. Is it safe to assume proficiency with light crossbow & the heavy was a typo?

A light crossbow is a simple weapon (see PH, p. 149).

If a character is proficient with simple weapons, the character is proficient with light crossbows.

The artificer is proficient with simple weapons. The artificer is therefore proficient with light crossbows. #DnD https://t.co/VJ92q01KG3
