@DastionI’m being told Wizards can’t use a Magic Scroll to copy a spell to their spellbook. Can they? If so, does it consume it? A wizard can copy a spell from a spell scroll. See the DMG (page 200) for the rules on this.

The Echo Knight’s echo, does it count as a creature for the purpose of optional flanking rules and as a target to spells and attacks?
The Echo Knight’s echo, does it count as a creature for the purpose of optional flanking rules and as a target to spells and attacks? If you're an Echo Knight in D&D, the magical echo you create is an image of yourself that occupies its space. It isn't a creature.
If this translucent, gray image were meant to be a creature, the rule would say so. #DnD https://t.co/ox6pxE8rY7

So how does a creature target the echo for an attack then? The rules say "Pick a target within your attack's range: a creature, an object, or a location." Would you have to rule that you are targeting the location of the echo? That seems kind of wonky

An Echo Knight's echo is an object. It's a translucent, gray image that occupies space; it isn't a creature; and it can be targeted. Object.
It's like you're targeting a moving painting or a hologram with substance. #DnD https://t.co/kmCZdEnNmu

Magic Resistance: does it only affect Intelligence, Wisdom and Charisma saving throws, or does it affect a saving throw for any ability score?
I have a question about Magic Resistance from something like the Yuan-Ti Pureblood race. Does it only affect Intelligence, Wisdom and Charisma saving throws, or does it affect a saving throw for any ability score? Hi there! That Magic Resistance trait affects any saving throw against a spell or other magical effect. It's not limited to Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma saving throws.

Eldritch Blast: are the attacks resolved in parallel or sequence?
@JeremyECrawford Eldritch Blast: are the attacks resolved in parallel or sequence? Do you have to pick all the targets first before rolling?
— Jeremy Soard (@JeremySoard) June 26, 2015
Multiple attacks on the same turn aren’t simultaneous, unless a feature or spell says otherwise. https://t.co/6AHqYOcXKD

@lawrencehoyWhy can’t sequential Eldritch Blasts be dispelled; while the caster is choosing targets of sequential blasts? Inconsistant! Counterspell (PH, 228) does work against eldritch blast.

@mistuhbull @JeremyECrawford pick when cast, resolve all at once

99% of my D&D 5e rules questions stem from carrying 35 years worth of D&D rules in my head
Subtweeting Crawford here, but I honestly think 99% of my #dnd 5e rules questions stem from carrying 35 years worth of dnd rules in my head.
It’s a real mess in here folks. I often see rules interpretations and questions that have no foundation in a rule's text. When that happens, a ghost from a previous edition's rules is usually haunting the person and messing with how they read the current text.

Can the new metamagic option Seeking Spell be used on the Green Flame Blade cantrip’s attack roll after a miss?
@JeremyECrawford Can the new metamagic option Seeking Spell be used on the Green Flame Blade cantrip's attack roll after a miss? Essentially giving you "optional" advantage?
— Jacob Vogelhut (@jvogelhut) December 10, 2020
The Seeking Spell metamagic option can be used with the attack roll of any spell.
Cantrips are spells, so Seeking Spell can be used with cantrips, such as Green-Flame Blade. #DnD https://t.co/KuJ6FAv93B

Do you have any qualms on the utility of summoned wolves?
@johnny_cache @mikemearlsDo you have any qualms on the utility of summoned wolves? ability to crowd/knock prone is high (ie vs dragons) To knock a creature prone, a wolf must hit it, and that creature must fail a saving throw. No qualms about that.
— Jeremy Crawford (@JeremyECrawford) November 6, 2014
@johnny_cache @mikemearls8 wolves surround and have advantage, they will hit and prone most things. D. Wolves, add’l wolves even worse Yep, that's a dangerous situation to be in.
