Shouldn’t the elf’s speed (including Fleet of Foot) get replaced by the beast’s, just like their HP?Wild Shape lets you retain any of your racial traits that aren't specific to your normal anatomy. Fleet of Foot is a racial trait.

I figured that line referred to a “weapon attack,” which is a process that does not always involve a weapon.The feature refers to "the weapon's damage." It's more specific than "melee weapon attack."

I know but olde Sage Advice seemed to imply intent was no need to sleep, yet Errata goes back on that. Let me rephrase: why the change?The old Sage Advice answer was meant to make sense of an ambiguous rule. The rule is now clear, and SA has changed to match it.
