Q barra, Zilargo, Aerenal, and Xen’drick are described as jungles. On Earth, there is a difference between the Amazon, African, Papua New Guinea, and S.E Asia jungles. Some differences in flora and fauna.
What about Eberron? Those regions are quite different in terms of flora and fauna. Part of this is due to the influence of manifest zones; Aerenal in particular produces a variety of unusual forms of lumber that can’t be grown elsewhere.

Q’barra has extensive dragonshard deposits and a wide range of reptilian creatures (from lizard folk to dinosaurs), possibly related to the presence of the Overlord Masvirik. Almost all environments can be found in Xen’drik, and even within the continent itself there’s a wide range of different jungle environments.

My friend just posed an interesting Eberron question. Why do you think the Warforged were set free? Forge of War’s take is that Boranel pushed for it after having promised it to increase loyalty among Warforged troops. Why else might it have happened? There’s a few factors. The treaty acknowledged the warforged as sentient, a truth conveniently ignored during war. Enslaving sentients is condemned by the Code of Galifar, so their freedom logically followed. So on one level it was addressing something many saw as injustice.

Significantly: it was a step by the nations to limit the power of House Cannith, taken at a time when Cannith was reeling from the Mourning and ill-equipped to resist. It forced Cannith to shut down the creation forges and prevent the creation of further warforged armies.

I’m looking for an #eberron holiday that is likely to involve gift giving akin to christmas/valentines/white day, & it seems like Boldrei’s Feast might be closest is there one that might be better hiding under the hat? Boldrei's Feast is a general rule. Arawai's Blessing is a harvest festival, but also a time for couples to exchange gifts. In a number of campaigns I've played in, someone has shown up in the role of the Traveler to give gifts.

Other than D&D, what are the best systems to run an Eberron setting game in? I’ve primarily played it in D&D (3/4/5), though I’ve also run it using an abstracted storytelling system. As others have said, I know there’s a good Savage Worlds conversion.

If someone with a normal last name finds our they have a dragonmark through an ancestor long forgotten, do they change their name to d'(House) or do they keep it d'(Last name)? The houses will usually take in "foundlings" – people who develop a dragonmark due to a blood connection – in which case they'd typically take the house name. If the foundling doesn't join the house, they aren't entitled to the name.
