Is it intentional that Changelings can put their floating +1 in charisma giving them a +3 to charisma ASI? Warforged and Half Elves both have the word “other” when describing where the floating score can go. Changeling doesn’t. A changeling sure can.

The Arcane Firearm feature doesn't turn an object into a magic item. #DnD https://t.co/cxGBKic3sm
— Jeremy Crawford (@JeremyECrawford) November 21, 2019
The way I read it only works on an already magic item 🤔

The rods, staffs, and wands in D&D can be magical or nonmagical.
For the nonmagical kind, take a look at the Adventuring Gear table in the Player's Handbook (p. 150). For the magical kind, consult the Dungeon Master's Guide. #DnD https://t.co/u3ySAFg1bW

Thanks for responding, @JeremyECrawford.
To clarify: You can only infuse mundane / non-magical items, but you *can* turn a magic item into an Arcane Firearm?

Arcane Firearm doesn't prohibit or require using a magic item.
If a feature prohibits or requires anything, the feature's text says so. #DnD https://t.co/a8LZ17nFZy

I'm still listening to make sure I didn't say anything stupid, but Jeremy starts off by saying lots of smart things at any rate. #wotcstaff https://t.co/jneTaQxdb3

Exploring Eberron is a new sourcebook launching in PDF and print-on-demand hardcover for the Dungeon Masters Guild in December 2019. It expands upon the world of Eberron as only Keith is able to, including never-before-explored areas of the setting. Please follow along with the Facebook page and design diary (www.facebook.com/InMyEberron) for updates, as well as Keith’s blog (www.keith-baker.com).
