  1. Gert Niidas says:

Can you twinspell Summon Greater Demon?

In a way it does target a creature from the abyss, and if you know the name of a demon it especially targets that one?

For Eldritch Blast – do you have to declare who you are hitting with all of the beams before you roll to hit, or can you declare them one at a time (after each attack roll) since you can hit multiple targets?

    • Rober_lpgc says:

Eldritch blast says “you can direct the beams at the same or different targets”, so you declare your foe every time you use a beam, separately.

As an example, imagine that you have 2 beams.

1st beam: I choose the orc for the first beam, I roll the die.
2nd beam: I choose the kobold for the second beam, I throw the die.

So in fact, you first declare your foe, then roll the attack, and again you choose your foe (the same or different), and roll the attack.

I am trying to make a soulbound kensei monk after a characters death, would this work with monks not being able to use armor? Would it if I got the proficiency with light armor?

    • Michael says:

I’m not an admin or anything but if you have proficiency in Light Armor you’d calculate your AC for LA separate from your UA defense also you wouldn’t gain unarmored movement in light armor

So I was looking at warlocks 6’th level spells and they get create undead how does this work? Does it work differently for them because of mystic arcanum or are they sitting there with the WORST create undead out of any class in any edition?

Hi. I love your site and think it’s a fantastic resource. Thank you for spending the time to keep it going. My question relates to Monster Cards. I’m new to D&D and I own all of the physical books. Do you know of any companies that sell 5e monster cards. It will help me manage combat as a DM.

One simple question! Sanctuary spell. A creature that has the sanctuary spell on it….. I design it as my target….. i fail the Wisdom saving throw, so i can’t attack him….. the attack is wasted? or no? can i attack other creature adjacent to me with that attack? If there are no creatures adjacent to me, can I use my movement and then attack another creature with that attack?

I think that the attack is not wasted, since not even an attack roll has been made, and I can usually designate another creature as target, without the attack being wasted, using the rule of breaking movement.

The spell does not say anywhere that the attack is wasted if you fail the saving throw.

    Thx in advance
