@kam2112HP question, if you roll for HP and have a negative con modifier of say -2 and roll a 1 would you lose a HP from your max? nope, minimum is 1

@JRobsonSF @mikemearls @JeremyECrawfordWhat is the extent of control of a warlock over her thrall? ( “Warlock’s Create thrall feature” ) The thrall is charmed by the warlock, but this doesn't necessarily confer control.
— Rodney Thompson (@wotc_rodney) March 30, 2015
@JRobsonSF @mikemearls @JeremyECrawford Of course, the thrall being charmed does make it easier to convince the thrall to do something…
— Rodney Thompson (@wotc_rodney) March 30, 2015
@JRobsonSFSo the thrall can still make save throws before accepting any suggestions? If not, til what point can I push it before it does? That all really depends on the situation and how the DM wants to run the interaction.
— Rodney Thompson (@wotc_rodney) March 30, 2015
@JRobsonSF Usually, you make Charisma checks to convince someone to do something; the charmed condition gives you advantage on those checks.
— Rodney Thompson (@wotc_rodney) March 30, 2015
@JRobsonSF Of course, a DM could run it a different way, but usually there aren't any saves involved.
— Rodney Thompson (@wotc_rodney) March 30, 2015
@JRobsonSF Deciding when to ask for the check and when to just play things out with descriptions is 100% the DM's call.

What’s your favorite monster in the Monster Manual?
“@MattSinclair89: What's your favorite monster in the Monster Manual?”
Today it's the flumph.

@BrailSays @JeremyECrawfordMage Hand is attacked…what happens? nothing – mage hand can't take damage or really affect the environment beyond what spell says.
— Mike Mearls (@mikemearls) March 27, 2015
@BrailSays @JeremyECrawford if I allowed attack, I'd say AC 16, hp = to caster's level + casting mod, immune to everything but force damage
— Mike Mearls (@mikemearls) March 27, 2015
@BrailSays @JeremyECrawfordSo if you are using mage hand to harrass somebody in any way, they have to skip hand and go to you directly? precisely!
— Mike Mearls (@mikemearls) March 27, 2015
@magalor42With the wizard Spell Mastery can you choose 2 first lvl spells but have one be at cast as a 2nd lvl spell? I don't think it breaks anything, but I'd allow a player to do it with a caveat that I might retroactively veto the call
— Mike Mearls (@mikemearls) March 27, 2015
@eastmablPer UA, Warforged don’t sleep. Would you say that they are immune, or do they go into a “sleep mode” like my laptop? sleep mode – immune would need to be specifically called out

@jaa0109 Would you consider a Katana to be Finesse? I so, Versatile as well? If yes to both, it’d be the 1st Finesse/Versatile in 5e. Could be an interesting idea, but it will be an expensive weapon as oriental rule books always describes.
— Zoltar Sage Advice (@SageAdviceDnD) March 25, 2015
@jaa0109To get a versatile finesse weapon, as a d10 (vers), it puts Dex-based melee PCs closer to great weapon Str users. But if you use with 2-handed I don't apply Finesse feature (no dex bonus) but only str
— Zoltar Sage Advice (@SageAdviceDnD) March 25, 2015
@jaa0109So you’d allow the Versatile feature exclusively to Strength, and allow Finesse exclusively to 1H? Yep, just an idea. I'm not an Oriental adventure lover
— Zoltar Sage Advice (@SageAdviceDnD) March 25, 2015
@jaa0109Me neither, but I’m trying to find a way to have a Dex based great weapon fighter without becoming MAD. 😀 Maybe could be add this feature on special weapon like elf blades, but like an Uncommon Magic item
— Zoltar Sage Advice (@SageAdviceDnD) March 25, 2015
@SageAdviceDnD Well the Sunblade is a Longsword with Finesse. And Moonblades can be Finesse.
