have you ever been so critical yourself before an episode of Critical Role and just worried like hell that What you prepped sucked? Often.

Rope Trick inside of another Rope Trick. Thoughts?
Rope Trick inside of another Rope Trick. Thoughts? my reading of the spell is that you need enough space for the rope to extend its entire length perpendicular to the ground, so don't think there's enough space.

“You may choose only one”
“You may choose only one,” the unseen guardian sighed. “Open or seek to carry off more than one, and I am allowed to rend you utterly.”
The adventurers regarded the six big, black, identical treasure chests (each was clearly labeled “Treasure Chest”), then looked at each other.

“I’ve seen better down at the manygoods shop,” said the fighter.
“Yes,” the cleric agreed, “and I like to see who I’m dealing with.”
“They’re nothing special,” put in the thief.
And they turned away.
“Wait!” cried the guardian. “I can sweeten the deal! There are things INSIDE…— Ed Greenwood (@TheEdVerse) May 19, 2018
And they kept walking. Until the floor vanished beneath their boots and they were plunged down, down into unseen darknesses, shrieking all the way.
“Yes,” the guardian replied, rather smugly.

Can you appoint me duke of some little unknown corner of Forgotten Realms?
By all means! The northeastern mountainous border of Amn has several vacant duchies, thanks to monsters and brigands and the last-thus-far dukes being less than nice people (so, no willing brides). The hill-farm folk would welcome a duke who'd defend them, so…

…immediately west of the Barony of Hawkhill (home of the increasingly infamous Baron's Blades adventuring band) is the "open" dukedom of Farlions ("Far-lions"), known for sheep and timber and copper mines. Immediately east of Hawkhill is the ranching duchy of Dusklake. …

… It's best known for livestock (including horses; several successful warhorse breeders and trainers).
And a little way to the south is the river-vale duchy of Scarnshields (good fishing, mills galore, farming).
Take thy pick, Duke Fabio!— Ed Greenwood (@TheEdVerse) May 19, 2018
And congratulations! May wedded bliss be rich and deep until the end of thy days!

Banners bright, Duke of Scarnshield! Thy shield is deep river blue, the charge on it an X of a crossed silversides (silver-scaled trout), nose upper left to tail lower right, crossed atop a golden wheat sheaf. Thy prosperous duchy is much beset by brigands; thy people need thee! Thank you very much Lord of the Greenwood! I pick Scarnshield, seems to remember of my home, in the Vale of river Po!

I am DMing my first game. Any advice? I seek guidance
I am DMing my first game Saturday. My players are #dnd virgins and I finally convinced them to let me plan our book club meeting and design a campaign for them. @ChrisPerkinsDnD @TychoBrahe @cwgabriel Any advice? I seek guidance. 🙂

You don’t need to explain all the rules up front. Once they get acquainted with their characters, let the players learn the rules as you go. #WotCStaff https://t.co/DiX9QCs2K2

How much would ‘wizard school’ cost these daysin Forgotten Realms?
How much would ‘wizard school’ cost these days? A wizard who follows Azuth wants to set up a scholarship for kids in his home town.Depends on needs and greed of tutor. Someone living well in a large house/compound in a major city like Waterdeep has higher costs than living on their own farm (and making the 'prentices work the farm). Rule of thumb: 1yr cost=year's income for local miller/innkeeper/"big" shop.

Demogorgon: Mordenkainen Vs Out of Abyss
@JeremyECrawford Demogordon in Out of Abyss: it has more HP and damage output × attack in comparison to the version into Mordenkainen Tome of Foes, but I see the same CR in both versions! Why? Which is correct?

The stat blocks in an adventure are designed for that adventure. Most adventures have some stat blocks we'd like to share with a broader audience, so we take those stat blocks, revise them for general play, and include them in a book like "Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes." #DnD https://t.co/oVj3Gp30aE
