is it feasible or frowned upon for a dragonmark to not go into their house’s line of work (ex: 1. a medani heir wants to become a freelance artificer or 2. work with/for house cannith – imagine both scenarios would differ on whose employment)? It’s certainly possible. Working with House Cannith could be encouraged; many crucial House tools (airships, kundarak vaults) are the result of multiple houses working together. Leaving the house entirely will be discouraged, but it happens.
