Are spells named in the PHB after Greyhawk characters (Mordenkainen’s Disjunction, Rary’s Telepathic Bond, Otto’s Irresistable Dance etc) canonically called those names by wizards on Toril? Or are they just called Disjunction, Telepathic Bond, etc? That depends entirely on the source a particular wizard learned the spell from (which may be a written tome or scroll). In other words, it varies. MANY PHB spells have variant names across the Realms for this reason (and minor casting/component variations, too.)#Realmslore
