"Ripe", Inktober drawing 31. To say that my imagination was ripe for inspiration when D&D came along would be an understatement. This fantasy setting offered a haven during my tumultuous years in middle school (See: "Stuff I Did in the '80s"). https://t.co/IXSoz6hXZA pic.twitter.com/VKFzVNrKDc

More than that, my earliest dedicated ink drawings are copies from the MONSTER MANUAL, a book I would go on to illustrate a decade later(!) This world, created by Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson, is still celebrated and played in our household. I've been running a game for my family and friends for years now.

Stories are told and retold of our epic adventures. But the treasure at the end of the saga are the memories of the time we’ve had together–especially with my daughter. I've wanted to participate in @inktober every year but my schedule is usually nuts in the autumn. Fortunately it worked out and I'm thankful for all the kind words and praise that you shared with each post. So THANK YOU.

PS: I'll get to the two entries I missed sometime next week. I've a half-finished cover on the drawing board that needs painting. In the meantime, Happy Halloween!🎃#inktober #inktober2019 #inktoberday31 #dungeonsanddragons #DnD
