    Nah, you were doing it right. Forgotten Realms is forgettable fantasy fiction inspired by D&D. It is a soulless derivative; an ouraboros that can’t see outside of itself to the fertile fields of fiction that inspired the game. Fiction such as pulp fiction, weird fiction, sword and sorcery, sword and planet, and science fiction.

    The most rewarding and time honored D&D experience is building your own setting.
