As a lot of you know Arkhan the Cruel and The Dark Order will appear as Non Player Characters in the new Dungeons & Dragons module BALDUR’S GATE: DESCENT INTO AVERNUS. Well, I had the distinct pleasure of working with famed comic book artist Max Dunbar to bring him and his crew to life. Max’s artwork became the basis for the new set of WizKids playable miniatures that I will be unveiling within the next week or so. In the meantime, here is a look at the concept art of Arkhan the Cruel and his Manticore pet Changó in front of the Tower of Avernus, Arkhan’s Minotaur bodyguard Torogar Steelfist, his Sewth Domain Tortle Cleric Krull, and one of Arkhan’s horde of Berserker minions (modeled after a good friend of mine…).
