@mikemearls In your home game, what's your design ethos around Lairs? When does a monster/encounter require a Lair? What do you look for in Lair Actions when designing them? I really like the idea of them, but I'm really lost on how to start designing my own.

I like to find ways to turn seemingly mundane elements into a real danger, but a danger that feels linked to the creature. For instance, vines that grab and hold to leave a victim helpless as the lair creature closes for a kill. https://t.co/C4CWvV6Lwa
