New question for DMs and players. I'm interested in hearing some examples of your favorite non-combat role-playing encounters?

Running into the BBEG who gave us amnesia & framed us for murder. Realizing after he left what he had done, realizing we had been duped cause no one insight checked the random only man wizard. He left town in our ignorance. Dang! He totally duped you guys! Sounds like some payback is in order! 😄

Convincing a dragon not to eat them by offering up their biggest secret.
Also, charming an elf only to realize they couldn’t be charmed! Lol! 😂— 🎄🏕Adam Lee🎄🏔 (@adamofadventure) December 14, 2017
Pathfinder module had my players defend a flesh golem in a court of law against the angry townsfolk. But remember everybody, there is no such thing as a combat/non-combat encounter. Create a problem, let the players decide which tools they try to solve it with. ''Tis true! A fight can break out at a flower arranging contest 🙂 Defending a flesh golem against a mob is inspired!

Digging through an old library and interacting with the other players trying to find the info they need to progress. It’s fun watching the player’s piece together all the lore you’ve scattered and it tells a story without combat. Libraries are a great way to do that! Fun!
