I’m curious about the decision to require using half your movement to get up from prone, seems odd…

  1. D. Walker says:

“Because we wanted you to use half your speed.”

    Ugh! YES! OBVIOUSLY!

Now, WHY did you want that, you incomprehensibly obtuse putz?

What was the rationale behind that decision? What factors went into making it? Or are you perhaps suggesting that it was literally totally arbitrary?

Cripes! What kind of person needs these sorts of things explained to them? Either he’s an imbecile, or he’s purposefully playing the fool.

  2. Daniel Michael Galloway says:

My reasoning for prone taking half your movement to recover from is this:

*A TURN lasts about 6 SECONDS
*Your MOVEMENT SPEED is how far you can WALK in about 6 SECONDS
*The amount of TIME needed to STAND UP from PRONE (especially if you were armored or hurt) would take away from the TIME you have to move in that 6 SECONDS
*Therefore, you lose HALF of the TIME you have to MOVE that turn, or in other words, half your movement speed.

    Hope that helps 😀
