does Kensei’s Shot scale with Martial Arts die? I feel like it doesn’t by RAW, but it was unclear enough that I wanted to ask. #DnD #SageAdvice Kensei's Shot deals an extra 1d4 damage, as stated in its description.

None of the benefits conferred by the Dungeon Delver feat require you to be in a dungeon. #DnD https://t.co/Y6NC2Yrfqx

Does Heat Metal or Fire Shield have more than one damage roll?
@JeremyECrawford Does Heat Metal have more than one damage roll? Does Fire Shield have more than one damage roll?
— Eric Green (@quadhund) December 13, 2017
My guess is that Fire Shield has multiple rolls (each time you are hit, roll). However, Heat Metal specifically says "on each of your subsequent turns to cause this damage again." It is unclear if this damage is intended to be 2d8 or what the initial 2d8 damage was.
— Eric Green (@quadhund) December 13, 2017
Yes, roll again.

Is there any reason for reprinting EE spells and SCAG subclasses aside from accommodating the AL PHB +1 rule?
Is there any reason for reprinting EE spells and SCAG subclasses aside from accommodating the AL PHB +1 rule? We adopted SCAG stuff that makes sense beyond FR, spells to make them more widely available
— Mike Mearls (@mikemearls) October 11, 2017
In Xanathar's Guide, we included only the SCAG elements that we wanted to make widely available, especially beyond the Forgotten Realms.

Kensei’s Sharpen the Blade: can it work for weapons like Flametongue or Frostbrand?
@JeremyECrawford @SageAdviceDnD Kensei's Sharpen the Blade: can it work for weapons like Frostbrand or Flametongue, or does the +d6 extra damage violate under the "no magic weapons that have an attack and damage bonus" bit?
— James Harmon (@harmonjames) December 22, 2017
Sharpen the Blade works on a magic weapon, such as a flame tongue or frost brand, that lacks a bonus to attack and damage rolls. #DnD https://t.co/H2x1i0PBPl

Any chance you can share more from your game or inspiration you got for it?
Any chance you can share more from this game or inspiration you got for it? As we are wrapping up our current game (I'm a player) im working on a horror game, ravenloft/lovecraftian type thing. we normally play heroic adventure and funny games so it'll be a huge change

Next to mythic fantasy, gothic horror is my favorite fantasy subgenre. My current campaign is heavily influenced by the following (I love mashups):
– The Conjuring (movie)
– Bram Stoker's Dracula (book and movie)
– Giant Robo (anime) https://t.co/cWgVlNza0y— Jeremy Crawford (@JeremyECrawford) January 26, 2018
So one of your PCs has a watch that controls a giant vampire?
— Fake Gimel (@fakegimel) January 26, 2018
I'm glad someone caught the Giant Robo bit! My D&D campaign's plot nods at Giant Robo, which is about averting global catastrophe amid uncertainty about one's own history. Plus, one of the NPC groups is influenced by the Magnificent Ten, the super-powered villains in GR. #DnD https://t.co/0wEBHqpoAM
