@dpnorton Ranger wielding two daggers is able to cast a spell requiring an S component without having to sheathe either weapon first? The ranger would normally need to sheathe one of the daggers, unless the DM or a special ability says otherwise.

@dpnorton Thanks! The focus/component/free hand distinctions are difficult to tease out, and have inspired much confusion. 🙂 The intent: you need a hand free for an S component, unless the spell has an M component and the component/focus is in hand.

Can Borngray move 15ft, misty step (bonus), multiattack (action), move 15ft away and use shield spell (reaction) if targeted?

@sn0wravenOr does using bonus action to cast misty only leave him the option of a cantrip with a cast time of 1? Casting a bonus action spell does preclude casting a reaction spell on the same turn.

@CarelessfoolI liked how casting times and weapon speed was an option in 1st edition. I always like continuous time in segments. I had fun with casting times in 1E and 2E too. In 5E, maintaining concentration is often the trick for a wizard.

Animating a skeleton with the animate dead spell in D&D doesn't require all the bones.

In a D&D session I ran two weeks ago, the heroes were attacked by a headless skeleton riding a skeletal warhorse. The poor skeleton had very bad aim! #DnD https://t.co/Idc2gWLKNG
